The host plant of this beetle is Volkameria inermis (Seaside Clerodendrum). A massive invasion was observed in August 2015 in Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve. It was probably being introduced as it was only found around the new extension area opened in December 2014. I had not seen it in the past though I had visited the Reserve many times.

The nymphs were also found on the same host plant.
